- HND Electrical Engineering or EET III Certificate
- At least 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or related industry
- Troubleshoot and rectify all PLC and control system failures to minimize downtimes and increase the availability of machinery.
- Calibrate and verify the performance of all instruments using standard references and methods according to a well-defined program.
- Design and modify panels for control systems and general instrumentation.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic gadgets, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Repair and replace defective components in motors, generators, compressors, switchboards, instruments and varied electrical fixtures.
- Install, maintain and repair electrical, electro-mechanical and electronic parts of machinery and equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer’s manual to determine the correct installation and operation of machinery.
- Competence in preventive and predictive maintenance scheduling and execution.
- Good knowledge of HV switching and protection systems.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring and equipment fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
- Any other job assigned by superiors.
